Career

Gigi Marzorati hold a Degree in Ingegneria Civile, that's why he gained the nickname of flying engineer because of the speed of his moves.

He started playing Basket when he was only a child, at the oratory of San Michele a Cantù, near Como, and at the age of 13 he began playing in the junior national team for the Palllacanestro Cantù Club where remained till the 1991, when he ended his sport career.

Totally, he collected 692 presences in the national team with a total score of 8.659.

From the 1991 to 1996 he was vice-president ofPallacanestro Cantù Club.

From the 26th July 2010 he became President of the CONI'S Comitato Regionale Lombardo.

His long and brilliant sport career let him gain several rewards: from the 12th September 2007 he is member of the FIBA Hall of Fame, in 2008 he was included into the ULEB list of the 50 most important celebs of the Eurolega history and in addition to this. he is member of the Italia Basket Hall of Fame.

Gigi Marzorati is the 8th player for total presences and the 15th fot total score collected in the story of the Italian Basket Championship.
