Career Hugh began competing in long-distance running during the Upper School and continued during the University. He was properly a real Marathon Champion, winning the Stockholm Marathon twice, in 1983, setting the still-current Record of 2:11:37, and in 1992. Actually, Jones holds the position of Secretary of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) as well as the editorship of AIMS' Distance Running magazine which he started in 2000. He is married with 4 children and lives in London.
